The kids did some painting with watercolors today.

Peanut made a robot and a submarine.

Janie also made a submarine. Look at the contrast between our 5-year-old and 8-year-old!

Watch us grow!

This is part of Janie’s creating writing homework. She drew the creature that she wrote about. It’s part turtle, tiger, cheetah, and leopard.

We went to Southshore Center today and Peanut helped Mama with the shopping list at Trader Joe’s. He drew pictures of what we needed instead of trying to spell the words.

The kids worked together to build and decorate this haunted house.

Here it is in all its icing and candy glory.

Peanut and Thomas worked on their drawing of the house together too.

Today is Mama’s birthday and since she took the day off, we drove to San Francisco after Zoom classes were done. We went to the Ferry Plaza and found it deserted.

They had outdoor tables for us to sit and wait for our table at Hog Island Oyster Co.

Janie drew a cute picture while we waited.

It was fun eating at Hog Island again after so many months. They had tables spaced out nicely and the food was just as good as we remembered.

Peanut enjoyed eating his clams. He also managed to entertain himself with the empty shells too

No trip to the Ferry Plaza is complete without soft serve from Gott’s. It was nice to be back in our old hang out spot but we were sad to see how the pandemic has really turned off the hustle and bustle of the city.

The kids did some directed drawing from a YouTube video today. Too bad we didn’t take a photo of the drawings afterward.

We had a packet pick-up today so Peanut made a drawing for her. And of course, it’s a submarine.

Peanut’s sight word for the week is “see” and he writes a sentence with the word. In one of his pages, he wrote “I see the sub.” Now he is drawing lots and lots of submarines and they have so many intricate details.

Today is Dada’s actual birthday so the kids gave him the cards they made for him.

After lunch, we had birthday ice cream cake!
